NATIVE PLANTING FINDS ITS PLACE
Rotorua
This bank planting sits on a sunny slope and needed structure as well as softness.
We worked with the landform and chose hardy native species that settle well over time. The aim was to create a natural frame for the lawn and a planting palette that feels balanced through the seasons. The garden is still young but already beginning to hold the space with quiet confidence.
Each year will bring more texture and life as the plants root in and grow with the site.

This garden sits close to the house and needed a simple structure that would feel calm and lived-in.
We shaped the edges with natural rock forms and introduced planting that brings soft texture to the space.
A small collection of herbs adds an edible layer that makes the garden both productive and interactive.
The planting is still young but already beginning to settle, soften the paths, and bring a sense of ease to the outdoor area. Over time the space will fill out and offer more scent, movement, and seasonal life.

This garden began with a simple cleanup before our client chose to explore a new design. The space has grown through installation, steady care, and close observation.
Each visit shows how the plants respond and adapt to the site. We guide growth where it helps and allow the natural rhythm of the place to lead the way. The result is a lived-in garden that feels lush and full of quiet detail. It continues to evolve with the seasons.
